Nomad was created with the mission of putting the power back in the hands of nurses so every nurse is important on Nomad. We work to empower the nurse with the option to choose the assignments that fit them best and offer the best pay rates across the industry. ‍They also offer travel nursing assignments across the country and all specialties and facility sizes.  Assignment’s average is 13 weeks but can range from 8-26 weeks based on the opportunity.  Travelers also often renew their assignments if interested.  All nurses working with Nomad are W-2 employees of Nomad.  ‍They are a small to medium-sized company that is quickly growing to help provide the best experience for all nurses on Nomad.  They were created with the mission of putting the power back in the hands of nurses, so every nurse is important.  They work to empower the nurse with the option to choose the assignments that fit them best and offer the best pay rates across the industry.  Their team of Nomad Navigators works closely with every nurse to ensure that they all have the best experience possible on Nomad.  They have been Joint Commission certified since 2018, and they are members of NATHO.  ‍At Nomad, they replaced individual recruiters with an entire team of specialized Nomad Navigators who help each nurse through different parts of their application process.  Nurses have access to the entire team’s experience and knowledge throughout their time with Nomad, so they can always feel like they have a whole team in their corner.  They will also have a specialized contact throughout their assignment who can help them with any issues.‍They provide medical, vision, and dental insurance through United Healthcare starting from the first day of a nurse’s assignment.  Aside from medical, dental, and vision insurance, Nomad provides a housing stipend for nurses and up to $1000 travel reimbursement to an assignment.  They also run the payroll every week, so nurses receive a weekly deposit directly in their bank account.‍Nomad puts the nurses in the driver’s seat of their job search by presenting all job opportunities and job details upfront, so travelers have all the information they need when applying.‍Their process is powered by technology and supported by people.  That means they can cut operational costs and direct all those savings back to the nurse’s salary.  But that also means that they have a specialized team of people dedicated to making sure every nurse on Nomad has the best experience possible.‍
