About

FlexCare Medical Staffing is an awarding-winning company that provides RNs and allied clinicians with great assignments built on trust, transparency, and hassle-free top pay. They offer opportunities for most registered nurse specialties, physical therapists, occupational therapists, surg-techs, ultrasound techs, and many other therapy and allied modalities. Their goal is to match these professionals to their ideal travel contract, whether that’s 36 or 48 hours a week and 8 to 26 weeks long in duration. Opportunities are available in thousands of facilities nationwide, from California to Maine, and including Hawaii and Alaska. ‍FlexCare partners with some of the top facilities and MSPs across the country to offer assignments nationwide. They have built strong partnerships over the past 13 years and that allows FlexCare to be a top-tier provider, often receiving job orders sooner than many of their competitors. Within the last 12 months, a FlexCare clinician has provided care to someone in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. ‍They are not publicly traded and with an internal staff of approximately 150, maintains a perfect blend of small company feel, which places a high value on relationship-building, retention, and transparency, combined with the operating power of a large company. This approach provides travelers with accessibility to nationwide jobs sooner, innovative technologies, and competitive high pay packages, while maintaining the personal touch that they get from a strong relationship with their recruiter. ‍This is where FlexCare truly shines. It’s no accident that one of their longest tenured travelers has completed 31 contacts with FlexCare. With their commitment to Singlepoint – one point of contact for every traveler – they have forged meaningful relationships with their nurses, therapists, and allied clinicians. They are members of the FlexCare Family – and that’s not a term they take lightly. They put it into action by: • Encouraging travelers to visit the home office when they are in the area so that they can meet their recruiter and members of the leadership team face to face. • Regularly promoting what life is like as a FlexCare traveler by soliciting stories and photos from nurses and clinicians for their weekly social media Tuesday Traveler feature. This is an ongoing series that showcases the life of a traveler through their own lens. • Creating the FlexCare Healthcare Heroes campaign that is featured during National Nurses Week. These are nurses who truly represent the best of their profession. As a result of the FlexCare Singlepoint model that puts the travelers first, referrals still make up the largest part of their new business. ‍FlexCare’s Director of Clinical Services is a full-time FlexCare team member. There are various channels after hours in which she or someone on the executive leadership team can be reached to help resolve issues or concerns. FlexCare has been Joint Commission certified for over a decade, having passed every on-site review. FlexCare is also a part of NATHO. ‍Most travelers who join the FlexCare Family are referred to a specific recruiter by a travel friend who is already a part of the FlexCare team. Having that previous connection and experience typically allows for that relationship to flourish. However, there may be times when a traveler might click better with a different recruiter, and FlexCare is always willing to make an adjustment when needed. In an ongoing effort to capture as much feedback as they can about a traveler’s experience with FlexCare, the recruiter, and the facility, they send out a survey asking for feedback on every assignment and connect with a candidate if they are not exceeding their expectation. ‍FlexCare currently offers comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance, which provides access to a network of service providers across the US. Medical is provided through the Anthem Blue Cross network, dental through Cypress Ancillary Benefits, and vision through Vision Service Plan (VSP). They also offer a company-sponsored 401(k) through the Capital Group, home of American Funds. They offer both a traditional and a Roth 401(k). A range of investment options is available to meet participants’ retirement goals. They believe a well-designed participant experience plays a vital role in helping employees pursue their long-term goals, so participants have access to education and enrollment support. Financial advisory is available for participants, provided by a dedicated financial advisor from Edward Jones Investments. Currently, the company matches up to 5% of a participant’s contributions ‍In addition to medical, dental and vision insurance and 401(k) program, FlexCare provides state-specific sick leave, access to numerous employee discounts and an employee assistance program (EAP). Their EAP is a 100% employer paid benefit, accessible 24/7 to provide consultation and referral services for assisting with the well-being of their employees. The program is designed to assist with a range of issues including health and safety concerns, daily living resources, child and elder care resources, financial and legal topics, identity theft and credit monitoring, work-related issues, and relationship and family matters. ‍FlexCare’s philosophy has always been to provide travel healthcare professionals with a service and experience that is unmatched in the industry. With that foundation, FlexCare was built across two strong pillars: a. S1NGLEPOPOINT – Unlike many competitors who transfer a traveler from department to department to answer questions, they strongly believe in a single point of contact who has the traveler’s back. They act as an advocate, career coach, facility expert, and strategic problem solver. b. High Pay. Hassle-Free – From day one, FlexCare has also lived by the philosophy that they should pay as much as they can per assignment, without making travelers experience the trust-eroding, time-consuming process of having to negotiate for a pay package that they deserved from the beginning. ‍Pretty much everything they do begins with the question, “How can they make it easier for their travelers to interact with us?” As a result, they are always looking for ways to improve processes or create technology solutions that enhance a traveler’s FlexCare experience without taking away from the relationship they have built with their recruiter – a real human who is their career consultant, confidante, and advocate.
